Shankar Chandran
Principal
Mr. Chandran is a principal at Panorama Capital and focuses on technology investments. He joined JPMorgan Partners in 2002. He currently serves on the board of directors of Neoconix, CHiL Semiconductor, and Validity and as a board observer at Tagsys RFID. Previously, Mr.Chandran was involved either as a director or observer with the firm’s investments in Reflectivity (acquired by TI), Valere Power (acquired by Eltek) and Portalplayer (acquired by Nvidia). Prior to his venture capital career, from 1995 to 2000, Mr. Chandran held various engineering, business development, and management roles at Applied Materials, Inc., and has been granted seven patents. Mr. Chandran serves on the Advisory Board of Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Santa Clara University.
Mr. Chandran holds a B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from the Institute of Technology, BHU (India), an M.S. in Materials Science from Arizona State University, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
