DW is a co-founder of Panorama and focuses primarily on life sciences investments. Previously, DW was a Partner and co-head of the life sciences practice at JPMorgan Partners. He joined JPMP in 1993. Previously, DW was President of Adams Scientific and held positions with MBW Venture Partners and Alexon, Inc. He was also a Commonwealth Fund Medical Fellow for the National Institutes of Health. DW previously served on a variety of boards including Innotech (NASDAQ:IIII) (acquired by J&J), dj Orthopedics (NYSE:DJO) (acquired by ReAble Ortho), Eyetech Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:EYET) (merged with OSI), Cadent Holdings (acquired by Align Technologies), Renovo Limited (LSE:RNVO), Praecis (NASDAQ:PRCS), and Landec (NASDAQ:LNDC). He was also involved with investments in Flamel (NASDAQ:FLML), Onyx (NASDAQ:ONXX), Connetics (NASDAQ:CNCT), Kinetic Concepts (NYSE:KCI), and Illumina (NASDAQ:ILMN). Dr. Wicker was a member of the NVCA Life Sciences Group Board and The New York Bioscience Initiatives Board, and was previously an Advisor to the Hospital for Special Surgery Ventures Investment Committee.

DW holds a B.S., with honors, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was previously on The Board of Trustees of the New York Academy of Medicine and is currently a member of the Investment Committee for the New York Academy of Medicine Endowment. He is also a member of the MIT Corporate Development Committee.
