Gaurav is a Partner and part of the founding team at Panorama Capital and
focuses on life sciences investments. He currently serves on the board of
directors of Alvine Pharmaceuticals, Hyperion Therapeutics and NextWave
Pharmaceuticals, and was previously on the board of directors at Flowcardia
(acquired by CR Bard) and PIramed (acquired by Roche). Gaurav was also
closely involved with the firm’s investments in Amarin Corporation, Itero
Biopharmaceuticals, Presidio Pharmaceuticals and Tranzyme. He was previously
employed by KBL Healthcare Ventures, where he focused on venture capital
investments in biopharmaceutical and medical device companies. Gaurav was
responsible for and/or served as an observer to the board for KBL's
investments in Achillion Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ACHN), ISTA Pharmaceuticals
(NASDAQ:ISTA), Neuronetics and Spinal Concepts (acquired by Abbott). From
1997 to 1999, Gaurav was in the venture capital group at Wasserstein Perella
& Co. Gaurav received his M.D. from Columbia University, College of
Physicians & Surgeons and his B.S. in Agricultural Economics from Cornell
University.
